The Rules
Welcome one and all to the rules of Doctor Who Fates (DWF). These rules are a required read for all RPers, old and new. Here at DWF, our goal is to build a fun and inclusive Doctor Who' RP site for everyone. That's where the rules come into play! We hope everyone respects them so each and every one of us can have a chance to create plots and have a blast. Thank you for taking the time to read the rules!

General OOC
1. Be respectful and polite to everyone on the site.
2. Any forms of discrimination (sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, etc.) will not be tolerated! Offenders will get one warning before a ban.
3. Keep cussing to a reasonable level. Some swearing throughout the board is allowed, but refrain from using it excessively.
4. Do not harass other members for a reply or post. Everybody writes at a different pace. Gentle reminders are permitted.
5. Do not provide any personal information. This is for your own safety and protection. If you have posted something you want deleted, contact a staff member and they will remove it for you.
2. Guests are allowed to speak in the chatbox. This is how people can test out the community and ask questions to see if they would like to join the site.
3. The chat is for OOC conversation only. If the staff receives enough interest in an IC chat, one will be created for this purpose.
4. Please use the name you wish to be known by on the site in the chatbox. To avoid confusion, we ask that you don't use your character's name unless that is your site-wide nickname as well.
5. Please avoid fighting in the chatbox. If a disagreement is being had, try to deal with it respectfully or ask a staff member to assist you. Anyone who is a consistent aggressor will be banned from the chatbox.
6. Do not pretend to be someone you aren't. If the staff finds out you are guilty of this, you will be banned immediately. Impersonation is a legal offence.
7. Treat others the way you wish to be treated! The golden rule should always apply.

Role-Play
1. No god-modding, no auto-hitting, no powerplay, and no metagaming. Do not make it all about your character. Allow others the chance to respond. You may receive permission from other members to assume their character's response.
2. Be respectful to your fellow members by staying active in your posts! Let your RP partner know if you no longer wish to continue a thread so they aren't waiting on you.
3. Be sure to inform staff and other members of your absences by posting in the "Away" board.

2. There is no formal process on what your Original Character can be or come from. Our only requirement is to be sure they are realistic and not over-powered. You must create a Species if you wish to play a non-canon race. Original time lords are not accepted at this time.
3. For the time being, only one canon character is permitted per member. As the site begins to pick up, this may change. You will be notified.
4. One new account must be created for every character. The account name should match your character's name, and the username should be a short form of that name if possible. You an link your character accounts by pressing the
button in the bottom right corner of the site.
5. There is no limit to how many characters you can create. However, all new characters must have their own account and must remain active. Staff reserves the right to reject new characters if you are not active with your others.
6. Please stick to the template provided when joining. If you need assistance, contact a staff member for assistance.
7. Any application you have not finished must have [WIP] in the title. Remove this once your application is complete.
8. You may not start RPing until your character has been accepted and you have done your claims.
9. Activity checks will be done every month to remove inactive characters. We do not delete accounts here so you may take them out of retirement if you wish to have them back. However, if you were playing a canon character and someone else scooped them up while you were away, there is nothing staff ca ndo

1. There is no limit on the amount of threads you may have. Our only request is that you keep them active.
2. Time is all wibbly wobbly meaning liquid time is enabled! An example of this is you can be in the middle of thread A and start thread B with the assumption that A already occurred.

1. DWF does not possess a word count. However, we do not accept one liners! Two liners? Sure.
2. Please be respectful to your partner by giving them a reply with similar word count. For example, if your partner writes 300 words, try to write as close to 300 as possible. If this is more than you are able, message your RP partner to request a smaller word count.
3. Everyone and anyone of all levels of English are welcome! If you need any help with grammar, understanding a guide or rules, etc. please contact a staff member to help you out.

Terms of Service
1. All conduct on DWF must remain in Proboard's Terms of Service. All material is allowed to be mentioned (eg. sex, crime, violence, etc.), but must remain PG-13 as previously mentioned
