The only differences that may physically occur are things such as angel wings, glowing eyes, or maybe even a tail. Some mutants don't have any obvious physical differences, but there genetics are always different from regular Homo Sapiens. These genetic differences allow some mutants to have powers such as super speed, super strength, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and even premonitions. Have you ever met someone who just so happened to have a high intuition? Maybe they were a mutant... it's not always easy to tell. Though few have some differences, mutants more or less all look like people! Some more than others, of course. It is very possible to have a mutant that the only thing they have in common with the physical appearance of a human is the fact that they are humanoid. Mutants with physical abnormalities must try harder to blend into society or suffer being targets for organizations such as Torchwood.  behaviour More or less, mutants behave the same as any other homo sapien. They can be of any race, religion, gender, sexuality, geographical location, etc. Unless a person has a physical mutation, no one would be able to tell the difference. There are some exceptions, however. Some mutations and the resulting abilities or powers can alter a mutant's behaviour. Some mutants with wolf-like features may exhibit canine qualities. Likewise, mutants with high empathy might be more emotional as a result. It all depends on the type of mutation and how much genetic coding has changed. A common pattern is... the more powerful the ability, the more their behaviour or weaknesses increase. If someone was a powerful telepath, they may be more prone to mental disorders, exhaustion, and other illnesses as a result. In other words, mutants are a very diverse group of beings. Analyses can be written on different mutants, but they can never be generalized to be true for other mutants. Despite this, there has been sightings of mutants grouping together throughout Earth. They can take the shape as gangs, support groups, housing roommates, friends, etc. However, some disputes occur between mutants with physical differences and those with no physical differences due to the fear of not being able to hide from potential danger. history Mutants are a result of genetic change within the human genome. The history of mutants is a long one. Since the beginning of human existence, mankind has been curious about science and have always desired to push their limits. The earliest records of human experimentation dates back to the 1800's. The result of the very first mutant experiment had been deemed to make "a more incredible man". The first recorded mutant was a man named Adam who gained super strength and heightened senses. He was unfortunately executed merely a month after his mutation due to an executive order from the group of scientists responsible for the experiment. This neatly represents the relations between mutants and humans throughout their shared existence.  Mutants, despite the myths that have been spread about them, are not born, but created. All homo sapien aliums were once average people at some point in their lives before encountering a stressor that changed their genetics and resulted in a power or ability. These stressors have most commonly been due to human experimentations, but other factors can trigger mutations such as radiation, steroids, cosmic rays, etc. The most common powers gained are scales, super strength, heightened senses, empathy, and a tail. Though these are the most common doesn't mean other types of mutants don't exist. In the beginning of the 20th century, mutants were not well known. If one was discovered, people would react with fear, confusion, and often aggression. This century is a dangerous time for mutants. However, once aliens had become a known fact on Earth (especially around Christmas), more and more people became less concerned about mutants and more concerned about aliens trying to takeover mankind. Even so, there have been several debates among leaders of whether or not mutants should be considered human or not. Fast forward to the future, in the 30th century, mutants have banded together and have declared war on regular homo sapiens for the freedom to govern themselves without human influence. Their mission is to create a Mutant Coalition that will advocate for their right of self governance, allegiances with humans and their leading body, and guaranteed protection of all mutants.
