He can also be quite argumentative when he doesn't agree with someone. He's not a big fan of fools and believes himself to be superior to every creature he encounters. But, for all of his bravado, he can sometimes be a fatalist, accepting those rare moments when he thinks he's doomed. He, like his other incarnations, is a genius bent on stopping evil in its tracks and helping the innocent out. However, unlike his other incarnations, he is more accepting of violence, able to see the logic in having to kill some beings. Most of the time, he seems very self-absorbed but he does have a caring and more emotional side to him. He's still devastated if innocent people die because of him and can show empathy towards those he cares about. the history father • n/a mother • n/a siblings • none important people • peri brown, melanie bush, jamie mccrimmon, the master, the rani, the valeyard hometown • gallifrey overall history • This incarnation of the Doctor came into being after his former self was forced to regenerate because he had been exposed to spectrox toxaemia on Androzani Minor. Early on he suffered mental and personality issues due to the regeneration. One of those issues was extreme paranoia, which caused him to go so far as to try and strangle Peri. But, once he had gained control of himself, his actions made him decide to put himself in exile on Titan III. But his exile soon turned into him stopping Mestor's plan to spread Gastropod eggs throughout the whole universe. He traveled with Peri for awhile, meeting his second incarnation and Jamie McCrimmon again in one of their adventures. And then the Doctor was brought to Gallifrey where he was put on trial for interfering in the affairs of the universe. The Valeyard, the prosecutor during his trial, presented evidence from events of the Doctor's life via the Matrix. The Doctor used the Matrix in his defense, showing a future adventure of his where Melanie Bush was his companion. After showing his destruction of the Vervoids, though, the Valeyard decided to charge him with genocide. The Master then brought in Mel and Sabalom Glitz to act as witnesses for the Doctor because, according to the Master, the Valeyard was a manifestation of the Doctor's dark side and, therefore, a harder opponent for the Master to have to beat if anything should happen to the Doctor. The Doctor soon discovered the Valeyard had created a machine that would kill all of the Time Lords in the court room. After saving them, the Time Lords let him go. This incarnation of the Doctor regenerated after the Rani bombarded his TARDIS with lasers and caught it in a tractor beam. What exactly caused him to regenerate? It's not very clear. A very severe bump on his head after hitting the TARDIS' main console? Who knows! the role player alias • lindsay age • 27 pronouns • she/her Rp experience• 10+ years How did you find us?• ad on another site role play sample sample • The Doctor wasn't in the least bit surprised to see who it was that came walking through the door. He wasn't supposed to be here right now but, of course, the Valeyard didn't care about where he was supposed to or supposed not to be. He was a liar, who occasionally said half-truths when he could twist them to fit his version of the Doctor. But the Doctor wasn't going to cave in so easily. He wasn't going to stoop to the Valeyard's level and deal in lies but he was going to take the novel approach of using a future adventure for his defense. The Valeyard wouldn't see it coming. First, though, the Doctor would have to watch the whole adventure he would use in the Matrix, which he couldn't do with his unwelcome visitor intruding like this. "What I'm doing right now, Scrapyard," he said, "is hardly any of your business." But the Valeyard did seem to enjoy sticking his nose where he didn't belong. There was definitely no doubt in the mind of the Doctor that that other Time Lord was up to something big. He didn't care about gaining justice for the Doctor breaking the Tie Lords' precious laws. When he had announced that he thought the Doctor's remaining regenerations should be taken away from him, there had been a perverse pleasure in his voice that even a prosecutor happy to be doing his job wouldn't have shown. Taking someone else's life was never something to be happy about, even if it was part of someone's job description. The Doctor knew he should tell the Valeyard to leave now but being alone with him was too good of an opportunity to pass up. He might get answers out of the Valeyard now that he would never get out of him while they were in the courtroom. He wouldn't admit to any nefarious plans of his in front of the Inquisitor but he might let something to slip while alone with the Doctor because, if the Doctor repeated any word of it to the Inquisitor, then the Valeyard would only have to accuse the Doctor of lying to her; having no other witnesses present in the room, there was nothing the Doctor could do to prove he wasn't lying or at least nothing that the Valeyard wouldn't be able to dismiss as the Doctor desperately trying to save his life. "But," he added, "I happen to have a lot invested in finding out what it is that you happen to be doing." Traveling the universe and getting into danger everywhere he went was a stressful job (and one that he hadn't signed up for; it was only his TARDIS who had decided to make him the savior of the universe) but that didn't mean the Doctor fancied dying. He would rather die helping someone in need out, not after a farcical trial that had nothing to do with him being okay with breaking laws to help those needful beings. |
